We have another new NLCC
board member, Rusty Button. He has a very inviting way about him that can’t be
mistaken, and a true passion for the Lord.
Rusty was born and raised in the Red Bluff, California area, living most of his
life near Los Molinos. He graduated for Los Molinos High School and attended one
year at Butte College in Oroville. Today Rusty’s profession is Floor Covering.
Rusty is married to Lori and they have celebrated marriage for 25 years! That is
a true testament of their love for the Lord and each other. They have three
strapping young men for sons, Tyler (22) is attending CSU Stanislaus, Lance (19)
just graduated from Atwater High and will be attending Merced Junior College.
Wesley just graduated 8th grade at Mitchell and will be attending Atwater High
next year. Lori has been employed at Gonella Realty for 7 years in Atwater as an
Administrative Assistant to Andy Krotik.
Rusty’s passion is camping with his family, and loves experiencing all that
entails in a baseball and softball game. What is that called? The family that
plays together, stays together?! You bet!
Rusty has been a part of New Life since it’s inception and has become a member
recently. His favorite verse is Ephesians 2:8-9, “For it is by grace you have
been saved…” Rusty explains why it’s his favorite, “it’s a description of
salvation; a gift from God and not by works. You can’t earn it...receive and
accept the gift!”
